LAWRENCEVILLE – Aaliyah Rainey is the Brunswick County Public Schools Student of the Month for January. Her parents are Lasanya and Corey Rainey.

Tiffeney Brown, Director of Human Resources, said Aaliyah has developed a positive attitude and a warm welcoming smile.

Carolyn Walker, English teacher, National Honor Society Chair, said, “The improvements she has made in the past year can only be described as inspirational. She has given her best effort whether working on an academic assignment, participating in the National Honor Society, or giving her best in cheering.

“Aaliyah has a strong educational foundation with a 3.52 GPA. She has matured tremendously and continues to develop her REACH character traits. Aaliyah always had outer beauty, but the beauty she has demonstrated within has flourished beyond words. I am ecstatic to see what the future holds for her.

“I am confidant Aaliyah will excel in the future with her chosen career path.”
