LAWRENCEVILLE – Kendra Knight, 27, from Alberta was arrested for distribution of heroin and felony child endangerment. She is being held at the Meherrin River Regional Jail under no bond. Alyrica Jones, 23, of Warfield was arrested for felony child endangerment. She was given an unsecured bond. Other indictments will be sought by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office during the upcoming grand jury.

According to information provided Sheriff Brian Roberts, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive investigation during the last month involving alleged drug activity and drug distribution. The investigation identified Knight as the focus of the investigation. During the investigation multiple drug buys were completed. The investigation concluded on the evening of Aug. 21, with a controlled undercover buy and subsequent traffic stop. The Brunswick County Sheriff Office’s investigative team and several other deputies effectively and safely stopped the suspect vehicle after the narcotic transaction was completed. The driver was identified as Kendra Knight and the passenger as Alyrica Jones. A search of the vehicle was conducted and items seized included heroin, marijuana, U.S. currency from the undercover buy, and the 2008 Chevrolet Impala vehicle.
