Charles R. “Randy” Bowen is a candidate for the Brunswick County Board of Supervisors representing the Meherrin District on the November ballot. He is a native of Brunswick County and will work to bring jobs to the county.
“The county is dying. We have got to do something to bring job and industry here. Bring the county back to life. There is nothing to do,” Bowen said.
Bowen remembers a time when Lawrenceville was bustling with activity and wants to see that time again.
“I am home-grown and know what people care about. I won’t play politics and be part of the ‘good ole boy system’,” Bowen said.
Bowen is running a grassroots election and believes he has a lot of good people supporting him.
Bowen mentioned that Tenus “Tommy” Thompson is also running for the Brunswick County Board of Supervisors representing the Totaro District. He said he went to school with Tommy and knows he could work well with him.
“We went to school together and he has some good ideas. I want people to come together and work to make Brunswick County better,” Bowen said.
