The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Investigative divisions have been focusing efforts and investigating multiple residential and commercial burglaries that have occurred throughout the county.  The coordinated efforts have resulted in two individuals being identified and subsequently arrested. 

Edward Brandon Jones, 37, of Brodnax, Virginia was arrested on July 30, 2020 and charged with burglary and grand larceny and is being held at the Meherrin River Regional Jail on a secured bond. Indictments for several other burglaries and other related charges are pending. During this investigation and after the execution of a search warrant at Jones’ residence, tens of thousands of dollars of stolen property was successfully recovered. 

Leslie Coleman Bowen, 29, of Valentines, Virginia was arrested on August 6, 2020 and charged with two separate commercial burglaries of the Shady Shack Grill located on Hendricks Mill Road. He is being held at the Meherrin River Regional Jail on a secured bond and indictments for several other related charges are also pending.
