LAWRENCEVILLE – Johnathan D. Green, 35, from Lawrenceville is charged with assault and battery of a family member on April 26.
Administrative Captain Kent Washburn with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy T. Harding was dispatched to a domestic call at 112 Crestview Road. The caller stated her husband had been drinking and had punched her. Harding met with the parties and determined an assault had occurred. The female said the husband had been out drinking and when he came home they had an altercation, specifically he struck her 2 to 3 times resulting in her lip being cut and her right front tooth to become loose. The male subject denied all action and stated that he was a victim in the situation.
Green was placed under arrest and escorted to the patrol car, charged and held until sober on an unsecured bond.
On April 27 Sergeant Haywood Stith responded to a residence on Old Stage Road in reference to a disturbance. The female complainant said that another female had pushed her outside the residence on three different occasions. When both individuals came inside the residence an argument started over a phone and other items. One of the females became upset and started hitting the complainant. The victim managed to defend herself and left the residence until law enforcement arrived. She had bruising on her face that showed she was involved in an altercation.
