To the Editor:
This is a picture of a cedar tree located between the Brunswick High School and Poor House Road blocking the sidewalk, making it difficult to walk by. I have been watching it for nearly 10 years and wondering when will the county cut it down? The citizens support the county so why doesn’t the county protect its citizens?
Limbs and spikes from the tree could cause a lot of damage if you happen to fall or walk into it. The sidewalk is full of rubbish. I think the tree should be cut down level with the ground. I think the sidewalk from the school to the town should be refinished to make it safe to walk on again.
I worked for the county and in the past we paid a little closer attention to such a situation.
