You can also call (434) 532-8190 for more information. Last year approximately 25 delicious sweet potato recipes were entered and I was fortunate enough to walk away with the grand prize for my award winning sweet potato truffles dipped in white chocolate!! I plan to have samples of my winning truffles along with the recipe at Meherrin-Powellton Elementary School on the day of the event. To retain my crown as Brunswick County’s Sweet Potato Queen (my code name is now SPQ) I plan to enter again and invite everyone to enter their favorite sweet potato dish in this fun and friendly sweet potato cooking contest.
