The Brunswick High School varsity girls’ basketball team ended the pre-holiday schedule in style with a 42-17 win over Colonial Beach on December 21.

The victory improved the Lady Bulldogs to 4-3 on the season.

Brunswick jumped out to an 11-5 lead in the first quarter behind six points from Nyiesha Pair.

Jamoni Crittendon hit two treys in the second quarter as the Lady Bulldogs outscored Colonial Beach 11-2 to take a 22-7 halftime lead.

Brunswick outscored Colonial Beach 30-10 in the second half to cruise to the lopsided victory.

Pair paced the Lady Bulldogs with 22 points while Aniya Seward added nine.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to action on January 8 when they play host to Southampton HS.

The Lady Bulldogs topped Sussex-Central HS 42-36 on December 20.

Brunswick jumped out to an 11-7 lead in the first quarter and took a 22-14 lead to the halftime break.

The Lady Tigers outscored Brunswick 13-12 in the third stanza but the Lady Bulldogs held on for the victory.

Pair led Brunswick with 22 points while Seward added nine.
