While the temperatures were cold over the weekend due to the winter storm that came through the region, the action on the high-school hardwood is just starting to heat up.
The Park View boys played one of their best games of the season in demolishing visiting Greensville HS 74-51 on Friday night.
It was a huge win for the Dragons in front of a big crowd and avenged a 70-59 loss at the Eagles on November 30.
Park View was relentless on the boards in the contest and the Dragon guards did a good job defending Greensville’s quick guards especially in the second half.
The victory moved Park View into a tie for second place in the district standings with Brunswick and Greensville. All three teams are two games behind Surry HS who is still undefeated in district play.
The Dragons were scheduled to travel to Surry HS on Monday night, weather permitting, for a huge district contest and then travel to Appomattox Regional Governor’s School on Friday.
