LAWRENCEVILLE - On Sunday, June 27, 2021, the Town of Lawrenceville came alive with music, food, and fun as Pop’s Bar and Grill celebrated their Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting. The event was attended by a large crowd. There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony with remarks by Alfreda Jarrett Reynolds, County of Brunswick Director of Economic Development, Gloria Menyweather-Woods, Brunswick County IDA Chair, Lawrenceville Mayor Scott Martin, and Town Manager Everette Gibson.
Pop’s Bar and Grill owner Chuck Lessin closed out the program by sharing that the Town of Lawrenceville had been most welcoming and supportive of his business and that he was excited about the future of Pop’s in Lawrenceville. The event kicked off with music by DJ Lonnie B along with food and drinks for sale.
Mike Dotti, Brunswick County IDA Business Liaison Director, shared, “We are proud of the efforts of the IDA Board along with the support of our economic development partners to celebrate the Grand Opening of Pop’s. This day represents 2 years of hard work. While COVID closed restaurants we were able to open one. Thanks again to Charles Lessin and his family and of course the IDA Board members and staff for always supporting growth.”
