This tribute is to Dr. Martin Luther King’s Jr. life and his work as national leader of the Civil Rights movement and an international standard-bearer for non-violence and peace.
Dr. King’s vision of a world where all people—regardless of race, creed, or heritage—enjoy the blessings of freedom, hope and justice, and will serve as a catalyst for civic activism for generations to come.
We must keep Dr King’s legacy alive, build his dream and share with the world or all people. Dr. King was gentle, yet powerful. Unassuming, but life-changing. Silent, and at the same time speaking volumes.
In honor of his legacy, reflect on King’s pivotal role in an ongoing struggle to realize his dream. Build the American Dream by taking an active part in helping to make his vision become a reality. The “American Dream”. In many ways. Dr. King’s life and work embody the ideal to which our nation and our world aspire.
“I STILL HAVE A DREAM. IT IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE AMERICAN DREAM. I HAVE A DREAM. THAT ONE DAY THIS NATION WILL RISE UP, LIVE OUT THE TRUE MEANING OF CREED. WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF-EVIDENT THAT ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL.” (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.)
