LAWRENCEVILLE – D’Andre Arteal Wynn, 20, from Lawrenceville, Virginia is charged with destruction of property, vandalism and trespassing on Jan. 6, 2021.

According to information provided by Captain Brad Evans with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy H. Stith responded to Pinecrest Apartments in reference to a disturbance in progress but the caller did not give a specific location. Stith saw Wynn running across the parking lot toward the 200 building. Stith noticed at the 400 building that 2 of the living room exterior windows were completely destroyed from apartment 401. The victim allowed Stith to enter the apartment. He noticed that the apartment was in complete disarray that led him to believe a disturbance had happened. The victim stated that she had a verbal altercation with her baby’s father, Wynn, over messages he saw on her phone. After arguing Wynn became upset and started destroying property belonging to the victim and Pinecrest Apartments.

Evans said Wynn later came to the sheriff’s office and was transported to the Meherrin River Regional Jail and charged. He admitted destroying the property and trespassing after being barred from the premises on Dec. 18, 2020.

In other matters, Trevon Arthur Smith, 19, from Concord is charged with possession of marijuana on Jan. 20, 2021 and driving on a suspended/revoked driver’s license, first offense.

Evans said Deputy A. W. Connell was on patrol and stopped a four door Nissan for speeding on Governor Harrison Parkway at Reedy Creek Road. The speed was verified to be 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. Smith was the driver. He told Connell that he was suspended and had marijuana in the center console.
