Airport Drive will be one way.

LAWRENCEVILLE – In anticipation of a tremendous response to the 2021 Taste of Brunswick Festival planned for Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at the Brunswick County Airport, formerly the Lawrenceville-Brunswick Municipal Airport, 77 Airport Drive, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police developed a new traffic pattern.

Lieutenant Chad Clary with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office provided the details. Festival attendees are encouraged to arrive early and follow the signs.

All traffic coming to the event on eastbound Route 58 will turn right onto Airport Drive and into the parking area.

Airport Drive will be one way for the duration of the assignment. No traffic, including emergency vehicles, will be allowed to access northbound Airport Drive.

All traffic coming to the festival on westbound Route 58 will turn left onto Brooks Crossing, proceed across the four way intersection at Airport Drive and then right into the parking. Westbound traffic will not be allowed to turn left onto Airport Drive.

All traffic coming to the event from Old Stage Road will cross Route 58 and continue onto Brooks Crossing, proceed across the four way intersection at Airport Drive and turn right into the parking area. Westbound traffic will not be allowed to turn left onto Airport Drive.

All traffic coming from Western Mill Road will be required to turn left onto Brooks Crossing.

All exiting traffic from the Airport Drive parking lot will turn right onto Lawrenceville Plank Road. Traffic will be able to enter Route 58 from Lawrenceville Plank Road.

All exiting traffic from the Brooks Crossing parking lot will turn right onto Brooks Crossing, right onto Loblolly Drive, and then left onto Lawrenceville Plank Road. Traffic will be able to enter Route 58 from Lawrenceville Plank Road.

Emergency vehicles will exit the event area by turning left onto Brooks Crossing to access Route 58.

Only emergency vehicles and residents that live on Brooks Crossing between Western Mill Road and Route 58 will be allowed access Brooks Crossing in that area.

VDOT will place message boards and signage with specific directions on all affected routes.
