Gladys Pulley Brown

Gladys Pulley Brown was born on February 26, 1940, to the late Al Edward Mason and Hortense Cornelia Cooke on February 26,1940, in Sussex County, Virginia.

She transitioned on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.

Pastor Brown was baptized in 1959.

God called her into the ministry in 1994 and she, supported by her late husband, Deacon Raymond A. Brown, started the House of Prayer Ministries in their home. In 2000, Victory Temple True Holiness Church began under her dynamic leadership.

She enjoyed caring for her patients as a CNA at Avis B. Adams Christian Convalescent Center for many years.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory are her children: Gwendolyn (Kenneth), Gale (Randy), Germaine (Jasper), Glorena (Ricky), Acrea, Jr., Paulus, Tammy (Jim), Brenda and Latissa; 11 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; a loving brother; Sam (Queen) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, clergy and many friends.

A funeral service for Pastor Gladys P. Brown was held on Saturday, September 12,2020 at 1 p.m. from the Victory Temple True Holiness Church, Freeman, Virginia with interment in the Brown’s Family Cemetery Freeman, Virginia.

Brown’s Funeral Service of Lawrenceville Virginia was in charge of the arrangements.
